Merry Christmas with smiles:)

I told you she smiles and aren't they GREAAAAAAAAAAT. Isn't she just perfect? How can I not stay home with that sweet face:) This was our first Christmas with sweet Addyson and Oh boy it was great. We had such a good time on Christmas morning and we can't wait for the
years to come when she is older and can be even more involved. She was so good and so sweet and graced us with her sweet smiles. Trent's dad came into town and stayed with us. It is all about Addyson though, so we tend to forget to get pics of others right now:) Opening presents put on a whole new meaning. Even though she doesn't get most of it she still had fun.
Daddy got sweet pictures of his girls and handprints from when Addyson turned 2 months. She of course got tooooooooo many presents, but she is to cute not to spoil. We spent the afternoon at Granny Greats. We of course ate too much and opened more gifts, whoo hoo:)
We know that this time of year is not just about the presents. Most importantly it is about the birth of our precious Lord and Savior. We are so thankful for His birth and His grace in accepting us into His family. We are also so very grateful for our new, precious little girl and thankful that He has given us the desires of our hearts. Thanks to you all for sharing this journey with us. May you all know Gods presence and love in this new year.

The best present ever

Fun day at home with Mommy

I never thought that I would love this Mommy thing as much as I do. I knew it would be great, but never imagined in a million years how great. I was always the one saying " of course I am going back to work, I could never stay home full time, are you kidding me." Well was I waaaay

WRONG! I could stay home everyday for the rest of her life and LOVE every second of it. She is soooooooooooo amazing. Her smiles just melt my heart and make me smile the goofiest smiles. I just love her sooooooooooo much. I am supposed to go back to work on Jan 5th and

I am DYING at the thought of it. I love my job and the little babies and their families, but I have to say, I love my little Addyson WAY more. We are so blessed that we don't have to put her in daycare. With Grandma, Gigi, and Grammy we are covered. They all love her so much as well.
They all couldn't be happier than to take care of her. I am hoping that I can take off until Feb. I am going to put some calls in on Monday, so please be in prayer that I can stay home with our little love bug a few weeks longer. Love you all. P.S. She really does smile, just not for the camera:)

Precious in PJ's

What precious little peanuts. As I said earlier in our Thanksgiving post we had a lot of family in town for the holiday. Several of Trents family members had not seen Addyson yet, so along with them came some sweet presents. One of those presents in particular was her new Christmas
PJ's. Well her little cousin Blake had the same ones, so of course we had to have photo shoot. We drug out some of the Christmas decorations and started shooting away. I have to say that we had the most precious subjects and they were both sooooo good. Blake would say cheeeeeeese and Addyson well just sat there in all her cuteness. Blake is such a sweet little man.
We had so much fun watching him, playing with him, and listening to all his sweet 2 1/2 year old words. He loves the movie cars and we didn't miss a day of seeing it the whole 5 days he was here. I think we all can quote Lightening Macqueen verbatim. He played and played and played and is the cutest little boy. Addyson is blessed to have such a fun, sweet cousin.

Happy Thanksgiving (a little late:)

Whew, how time flies. I can't believe that it has been almost a month since I blogged anything. This baby business keeps a girl busy. I don't know how my friend Jen does it with twins. She rocks:) Well Addyson had her first Thanksgiving this year and tons of visitors to go with it. We decided to have the meal at our house this year and boy were we busting at the seems. We had such a great time though. Alot of Trents family came into town from west Texas.
lots of cousins and his brother Torey and his wife Karen and their son Blake came from Houston. We all had such a wonderful time together celebrating what we are most thankful for this year, Addyson. A lot of my fam was sick, but my precious stepdad and wonderful cousins and uncle were able to make it and joined in the fun. We pray you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving as well:)

Smiling, Smiling, I am done

Trent and I have officially turned into the BIGGEST goofballs. We would go to just about any lengths to get Addyson to smile. Once Addyson and Daddy decided to get up Saturday and get ready for our day of pictures, Trent and I were on a mission. We put Addy in her bouncy seat, broke out the noisy pulley toys and started our dance. With wide eyes, big mouths, and lots of baby noises we were determined to get a smile out of our love bug. After making complete fools of ourselves and about 30minutes later we did succeed to get a little grin, but then she was done and the meltdown was soon to follow. I don't think we realized how much fun this baby thing was going to be. Have we told you all lately that GOD IS SOOOOOOO GOOD!

Grammie is the greatest

Trent's mom came over Saturday after our church pics to let us have a date night. She spent the night with us and we were also able to go to church together on Sunday. That was nice, because we haven't been to church together since Addyson came. We always take turns and someone stays at home with her. No shots, no church:) We are so blessed to have family so close to help us out with our sweet baby girl. We also had another photo shoot at home. You know it is not often that we are all dressed up without spitup on us, so you have to take advantage of every photo opportunity. We enjoyed our date night with our friends the Petersons. We enjoyed some Christmas shopping and Sushi, MmmmmMmmmm good.

Lazy morning/afternoon

I have to say that Saturday mornings are my absolute favorite. We all pile up in bed after Addyson's 7am feeding and veg for hours. It is the best part of the week. We get to relax and just be together as a family. This past Sat we stayed in bed till about 11am. But it just wasn't enough for my sweet boy and girl. As I was getting ready for our pics for the church directory my whole little family, dogs and all were sleeping the day away. They all looked so peaceful, sweet, and QUIET:)

Quite a show in her Mary Janes

Granny Great came over yesterday and Molly and Addyson both put on quite a show. Addyson just had to show off her new Mary Jane socks to Granny Great and Molly needed to tell her who was boss of the grey elephants in our house:) Granny Great is my dad's mom and Addyson's great granny, hence the name Granny Great. We had so much fun chatting it up with her, just relaxing and soaking in the beautiful day. Addyson was so relaxed that she decided to have her daily evacuation in front of Granny Great. Now I must say that we do have the sweetest baby who's poop doesn't stink because she is so sweet (HA). However, my precious little angel exploded on me BIG time. I have officially been christened by our little poop angel. Thank God Granny Great was here to help clean up the mess because it was HUGE. Needless to say she loved the show and was glad to be apart of our exciting day. What has our world come to when poop is the funny thing of the day:)

For all you Tech fans

The Big question on Addyson's mind is "to go to Tech or to not go to Tech, that is the question?" If her daddy has anything to do with it that is where she will be. Where many of her forefathers, cousins, friends, and practically all of Trents family went. She is so ready for Tech at a whopping 1 month old, that she is already trying out for the cheerleading team. Do we have a genius on our hands or what:) HeeHee. We sure do love our little cheerleader wherever she decides to go, but according to daddy, it better be Tech. Get ur Guns up Techies:)

Aunt Jemima eat your heart out:)

Ok, Trent put in most of these posts up until today. So I have to tell the story about the post on Oct 29th. As you all know I LOVE the bows. At my shower that my family threw for us my sassy cousins Tiff and Lindsey and their mom were there. Well they had gotten Addyson that HUGE cute head band with bow and some sassy diaper cover panties that say princess on the bum as you can see. I decided that day (Oct 29th) that we would play dress up and send Daddy a text message of our fun times. So we put the bow on and started our photo shoot. Now she didn't look like Aunt Jemima during our shoot, but once the pics were sent to the press it was all too clear that Ms Jemima was in a run for her money:) Also, Molly our "Cheeweenie" is ALWAYS where Addyson is, so of course she had to be in the shots and I have to say that she does seem like she is a little jealous that she doesn't have a diva bow like her little sister. HeeHee.

My best friend Avery

Ok here is my (Hollie) first attempt at the blogging world. I have to say that I am a little intimidated but I am going to figure this all out. This was a day several weeks ago when my friend Christine came over with her little girl Avery. Avery is 18 months old and loved little Addyson. She saw how much fun Addyson was having on her floor mat and decided to jump right in and play. We love our new friend and her mommy tons and can't wait until we get our shots so that we can get together and play some more.
